Week 16:Fast Food Inspired – Gourmet Hot Dogs


Neither of us eat a lot of fast food, so we decided to try a taste of summer by creating gourmet hot dogs. This recipe was grabbed from Fresh and Easy: What to Cook and How to Cook it by Jane Hornby. It had a combination of unusual flavours (apple anyone?) and a little bit of a kick as well. Raisins were also part of the recipe but we chose to omit that; some debates over the roles of raisins in food occurred earlier in the week (unrelated to this recipe) so we just couldn’t accept it. In time, our raisin wounds will heal. Maybe.
