Week 9: Tofu – Fried Tofu with Sesame-Soy Dipping Sauce
Tony and I don’t eat a lot of tofu. When we do, it’s usually fried in some form. That’s really one of the best ways to take advantage of tofu; it creates a perfectly crispy exterior and soft warm center.
We didn’t follow this recipe completely; we accidently bought a tempura pre-mixed batter rather than panko flakes. Still created a great texture in the end. Tofu is relatively tasteless, which makes it a great base for any flavour.
